The lodge and associated bungalows are situated 6 kms from the valley road on a ridge out in the open environment. The position was fantastic and the sense of solitude overpowering. We had a real feel of being out in the wilderness.

It is incredibly special and peaceful in Baviaanskloof and at Jana's cottages. She has a little Farmstall near by which has a great selection and an amazing Cappuccino! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with travellers!

This was my second visit in a short span of two weeks as I offered to take my family back -( not all of them where free to go in the first trip. I did not hesitate to book it again as I think it was absolutely the perfect to place to not only stop over when traversing the Baviaans but also one of the best places to recharge. I think everyone who like big skies, peace and good walk will love.

    The location is quite stunning although the access road is...

    The location is quite stunning although the access road is quite difficult. The accommodation was excellent with the individual lodges set along a ridge with fantastic views. We took food for a braaie although the staff can provide pre-cooked food for heating up in the microwave. Breakfast was good and generous. The main lodge had copious facilities and there are several challenging trails in the vicinity. If you enjoy the solitude of the wild environment then this one is for you.
