Lovely town, great mountain views, mining history, friendly people, relatively quiet. Marakele Game Reserve is nearby. It also offers great restaurants with a wide variety of foods. In summer, it is usually very hot and therefore I will recommend sun protection.Guest review byThandileSouth Africa

They even had a generator which I did not expect and which made the loadshedding a non-issue. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Overall an excellent stay. Monika, Dave and their dogs are lovely. We had Dinner there on both nights which is freshly cooked by Monika & I can highly recommend! Also the breakfast was delicious. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. The air conditioner in the room brought wonderful relief from the Bushveld heat. The staff, especially Sosten, were very friendly.
