The Off-grid Eco Lodge is beautifully designed with lots of Love and passion. Located just off the N2. The rooms are quirky & uniquely styled, yet very comfortable. The breakfast was very delicious and varied. The diner, which was served in buffet style, was out of this world home cooking. The sheltered Donkeys, dogs, cats and chickens roam around like it’s Noahs Ark and contribute to the relaxing and comforting atmosphere of the place. When my busband was sick, they profided us with the necessaries to make him feel better. Daniela and Willy have created a cosy home away from home.

The hosts are just great; they really made the stay. The property is filled with light and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are lots of birds (and baboons, so watch your personal belongings on the terrace). My only regret is that we did not stay longer. There are also tons of activities in and around the area to keep you occupied for a few days.

This is such an amazing place! The room was perfect and had everything you need. The view from the balcony was just stunning. The perfect place to relax and listen the voices of the nature. Sue and Albert are very caring and nice people. We strongly recommend this place to everyone.

Absolutely fell in love with trogan house. One of our best stays in SA. Our room was so luxurious, which over looked the pool. We had the most amazing massage and private time in the spa. It was the most relaxing place and so peaceful. All staff were fantastic, but we would like to give a special shout out to 'wonderful' he was so helpful and made sure we had everything we need at our stay. We had dinner one night and it was fabulous. There is noting I can fault at this accommodation

We stayed for a view days at 20 good summers and it was terrific. Very clean and spacious room with a large, comfortable bed. Well decorated and beautiful art. Fast laundry service as well. Surrounded by nature and nearby great hike trails and beach. Hosts gave us a warm welcome and everything we needed. The farm stay is totally off the grid, so no loadshedding. Really recommend it!

    A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants.

    A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants. The Grootrivier and (Western Cape part of) the Bloukrans River passes are exceptional, as is Nature's Valley. The Birds of Eden is THE world leading bird conservancy -- the biggest anywhere with free flying birds in a magnificent forest with a beautiful kloof, waterfall ,,, The nearby Monkeyland and Jukani conservancies are also probably the best in Africa. Thyme & Again restaurant is also a favourite.

    This is definitely not a family holiday spot!

    This is definitely not a family holiday spot! It could, at best, be a backpackers lodge. The water in the bathrooms was brownish, and although there were assurances that it was healthy, we were sceptical. The rooms were tiny and barely furnished. The kitchen is communal and almost 100 meters away from the rooms - very inconvenient for those rainy days! What about the toilet and bathroom outside the rooms! We had surely booked the wrong place, and stayed only for one night out of four.

    Its a wonderful place to stay, especially since it is 18kms from Plettenberg Bay, so its more serene than Plett over the height of summer. There is a lot to do in the vicinity. We loved our visits to the elephant sanctuary (an absolute must-do), the wolf sanctuary, Birds of Eden, Tenikwa (wildlife rehabilitation), Jukani (wildlife sanctuary, especially for Big Cats) and Monkeyland. There's a super water park (Adventureland) about 19kms away, with fabulous waterslides. We made the mistake of not booking restaurants for dinner in advance. Over late December / early January most places were fully booked, which really limited our options and we spent a lot of time calling around, which we could have avoided. I would scout the restaurants and book well in advance next time.

    A little slice of heaven is how I'd describe Tamodi. People from big cities sometimes just want to get away from it all and just relax, this is a great place for that. The view is breathtaking and waking up to that every morning is beyond amazing. The chalet I was in was huge with modern amenities and it was just picture perfect. Everything you could ever need was available including a wine cellar! The beach is a short drive away and there are good restaurants nearby. Lynne and Owen were great hosts and their staff are very friendly!

    20 Good Summers is a beautiful farm outside of Plettenberg Bay. Davina and Derek have been exceptional hosts, making me and my brother feel very welcome in their beautiful home! We particularly enjoyed the company of lovely dogs and the tranquility of the farm!
