The outside Braai area was great for our family as we were a fairly big group and made the most of that area. Also, the open plan kitchen allowed for even the ladies to enjoy :) We have been coming to Arnistan with my Parents since our childhood and visit often but first time at this house. Will definitely make use again when we are a bigger group.

It was my third time staying in Aghulas Ocean house and it's just the most perfect place in every way - the owners are so very-very sweet, the Ocean House is spotless clean and cosy, breakfast is fresh and tasty. And Aghulas itself is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.

We enjoyed more than expected our stay, mainly due to the wonderfull owner and staff at the hotel. Everything was perfect especially for this price range. The room was clean and big enough, bathroom as well with great shower. The hotel offer a secure parking. They even offered us a coffee on our departure date. Friendly staff, you can enjoy a little drink before going to bed at the bar or play pool in a dedicated room. Thank you!

Excellent Hotel with an Exceptional Hostess I stayed for one night at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The cleanliness and comfort of the room were impeccable. The room was spacious and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a large balcony. The common areas are also spacious and tastefully decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy. The breakfast is complete and delicious, offering a wide variety of options. But without a doubt, the highlight of this hotel is its hostess, Rahelah. She is a lovely person, super friendly and attentive, ensuring that you lack for nothing and making you feel right at home. She truly is a gem. The hotel is well-located and easily accessible, with good parking available. I highly recommend it 100% if you're looking for a pleasant stay on the coast.     Breakfast buffet and beaches were lovely. The arniston cave is a beauty and must see. It is a bit scary going to the cave. We did not have time to walk around in the neighbourhood but the place seemed quiet and safe. We visited Cape Agulhas and there were more restaurants nad food options. Arniston does not have a variety of lunch and supper options for our pallet. The spa at Arniston is also great. The lamb shank is delicious at Arniston. I would have like a bigger variety with the pizza options. I would advise people to visit the beaches, go to the smaller towns in the area to get to know the peolple better.

    A charming little village with friendly people.

    A charming little village with friendly people. Lovely to walk around and explore, with stunning views around every corner... Our spa experience was very good, so much so that we went back for a second treatment. Bredasdorp was an eye opener - if you enjoy history you must visit the Shipwreck Museum and Bredasdorp Square has a lovely restaurant and courtyard with delicious food on offer, plus a gift shop you could get lost in (not to mention bankrupt yourself)! The drive to De Mond nature reserve was well worth it (the dirt road is in good condition) and it is wild and remote with few people to be seen. It's also worth visiting Cape Agulhas to see the lighthouse and walk on the boardwalk. The nearby Struisbaai beaches are gorgeous.

    Loved everything but the dog owners need to pick up after their dogs. One woman even told my husband she will come back and pick it up. Never saw her again. That was on the grass in front of our cottage.

    Best thing about Arniston is the natural,beauty and although it has grown in the thirty year since I was lat there and much sand has gone for the beach it remains peaceful and unspoilt Not sure it would be much fun in bad weather as not a lot to do and the it must be a pain for residents 5hat if short of milk or another essential you would have to,go to Bredasdort twenty mins away. You are relainat on the hotel and although it’s great to stay there the restaurant and bistro are not exciting. The only other food appears to be in a shack in the old fishing village nearby which was excellent,cheap and unpretentious.

    The trip to Kassiesbaai with history forever caught in the ambiance. Willeens's ice cold beer and the Kassiesbaai bag bought at the gift shop. The small harbor/jetty with the local fishermen doing the everyday tasks.

    The mere fact that we have been back to the Arniston hotel...

    The mere fact that we have been back to the Arniston hotel at least 4 times in the past few years should be an indication of the excellence offered. The facilities are just right, the view from our room was magnificent and the room itself was very spacious and comfortable. We cannot fault the food and the service was very good. Arniston has always been our place to recharge our batteries.
