A small village on the east coast between George and Knysna. People are friendly and services adequate for basic needs. Plenty of restaurants catering for a variety of cuisines some of them highly recommended. On arrival around 9pm, all the restaurants where closed and there were also no food shops in the area. There were no porters available to bring the luggage in. The hot water settings in the bathtub could not be adjusted to an acceptable temperature. The room had a musky smell. The breakfast the following day was not a buffet as expected and served directly from the kitchen. Our stay was from the Friday to Monday. We booked out the next day and requested a refund as the facilities was not as what was advertised. No refund was given. I will definitely not be staying there againGuest review byBaloka - 10.0

We loved that you feel, smell and see nature all around. So much beauty to continue exploring. Grocery shopping was a bit limited in Wilderness. With only the Spar and not a great variety in meat. The house have breathtaking sea views and situated close to Restaurants. It is very easy to get around. The house offers total privacy and is beautiful. The Half Collared Kingfisher Trail was a great half-day hike - we hired canoes from the nature reserve camp site. At the farthest point was a waterfall! The beach at Wilderness is great - our kids loved the lagoon, specifically catching little fish with nets. I would rate Dias hotel 10 overall the same as I.would rate Arniston hotel, but Arniston hotel R300 cheaper per night. We selected the Beach room which had a beautiful beach view enjoyable from the bed. The unit includes a self catering kitchen and stunning bathroom facilities. Wilderness is a relaxed 2 minute walk away. Every aspect of Villa Sol is well thought out contributing to a serene home away from home atmosphere. The room is really comfortable with a unique vibe. I totally recommend staying here for at least 3 nights for Wilderness exploring. The hotel is placed too close to a good restaurant, where you can get really delicious meal. Also, it is too close to the lagoon and ocean beaches.
