The accommodation is a traditional village clay and thatch guest house. The beds are very comfortable with mosquito nets and it was nice to have an ensuite shower room. The village is very friendly and safe and has a small but well stocked shop. A Village tour including volunteering in the village school, Nshima cooking lesson and a Zambezi sunset canoe rides can be booked directly with Alex (I highly recommend these). It’s nice to know the money raised is going to support the village school. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return. Thank you to Alex, his family and friends for making us feel so welcome.

Zambezi Dusk is located on a beautiful property with views of frequent visits from elephant, buffalo, and plains game right across the river. There is a spacious deck with various comfortable seating options for viewing wildlife, dining, or enjoying a drink. The food quality and presentation is that of what you would find at an upscale restaurant. We had some of our most favorite meals at Zambezi dusk and it was only 4 nights out of a 22 day stay! I can not say enough about the kitchen and wait staff! The game boat ride was a great bonus! All of the staff went above and beyond in many aspects, we can’t thank them enough. As far as location we loved that it was secluded and private exactly what we were looking for. The gardens and view from restaurant are better than pictures.

All was new and clean. The house had a big battery in case of power outbreak’s. We had both airtel and mtn SIM cards because we work online while we travel and the signal was good so the signal towers were close. The owner fixed the road in the second day and it has a good sign from the asphalt road. I will return with pleasure for sure.

Amazing location on the river, very peaceful and interesting - we enjoyed spotting hippos and crocodiles directly from our terrace. Karen set a sunset cruiser just for us, memorable experience away from crowds in Victoria Falls. We wish we had stayed more than a simple night, and enjoyed the bbq facilities! Next time, thanks

Kamunjila is not only a lodge to stay, it is an experience. Highly recommended, if 10 is maximum, this one is 10+. The premises are beautiful if you look for something authentic. Kamunjila staff is professional, welcoming, understandable, and always ready to help. The lodge is a great example of sustainability, proximity, and awareness. You need to go to understand. If you like to taste local meal, go for the fish from the Zambezi river, try nshima or taste mango picked up for you straight from the tree. Enjoy the garden and hear the stories about plants and animals from the local expert, great guide! Get impressed by the talented artist painting in the garden. My stay was wonderful. Classh room, nice outlook Wildlife roaming the grounds (zebra, impala, giraffes) meant you were on safari just by stepping inside your room. Poolside bar provided great meals with generous servings at a reasonable price. 5 minutes walk to the Falls.
