Nkosi Guest Lodge exceeded every expectation I had! This place was absolutely gorgeous, so well-kept, and had such a relaxing vibe. The staff is incredible, so friendly and helpful with everything. The rooms are well-fitted, clean, and incredibly modern. The pool is lovely. The breakfast selection was vast and really good quality! Excellent sleep quality - is very important for us.

I wish my room had a bathtub. That was really the only complaint. The room was advertised as "watering hole view" but it was really off to the side (room 46). Amazing though, I only stayed one night. I woke up to see the sunrise and saw families of pumbas, monkeys, etc. Magical!!!

The hotel itself is located right by the National reservation with wildlife and untouched nature, near the infamous Victoria Waterfalls. The territory of the hotel is relatively big with many plants and in general very green. Sometimes, you can see animals just running through, eating grass or minding their own business — a truly wonderful sight and you can thank the hotel for such a rare opportunity. One thing is very special about this hotel - and that’s the interior’s design. The entire hotel is built in an antique-like manner, and you have the impression that you’ve ended up in the 20th century. We have booked in advance and asked the hotel staff to organise 3 tours for us: a helicopter tour, a safari tour (which was mind blowing, to say the least) and a waterfall tour. Proper thanks to Michael, he was our guide for the safari and the falls tour. And the hotel’s staff has completed all of our requests and surpassed our expectations. Expect very friendly staff, waving, smiling and greeting you at every step — very welcoming. In general, we were impressed by the level of friendliness. The small houses which you check into have a great view from the living room, from the bedroom and right from the bath. The rooms are spacious, comfy, with many space and extraordinarily enormous beds — also, incredibly comfortable. All the amenities were of high quality and there was plenty of them. Regarding the restaurant and the bar in the hotel, the food was great. You have the chance to try the local dishes (highly recommended), but also there is plenty of options for regular food. Also to mention the breakfast, where the variety of dishes is offered. We’ve chosen the Royal Benedict eggs - they were delightful. The drinks, varying from freshly squeezed orange juice to gin and tonic were amazing. Overall, we were pleased and highly impressed by the service and can confidently say that we will come back.

    We visited the Falls in dry season so a little less active.

    We visited the Falls in dry season so a little less active. A lot of fun excursions for nature and safari also available. Pay attention to temps and humidity. If you choose to check out Zambia, I would consider booking a tour company. A long walk plus taxi otherwise.

    The falls are breathtaking, the activities in the area are numerous. The shopping is interesting, nice places to eat, we really liked ‘the 3 monkeys’, great pizza. Lovely people and it felt safe during the day. Got over the painful harassment at the markets and up and down the street. The heat is exhausting.

    The visit is well organised with well marked and positioned viewing points. The pathways is well made although in a couple of spots a little steep - you need to be careful not to slip. Be prepared to get a bit wet from spray.

    Look out cafe is amazing!

    Look out cafe is amazing! Courtney Lodge is a great place to stay! Victoria Falls Discovery Tours are the best to take you to Chobe and to book you the Helicopter Tour of the mighty Vic Falls Want some amazing fine wildlife photos to take home, then visit Tami Walker Fine Art Gallery. The best bacon for breakfast is at Ilala Lodge. They also have amazing accommodation with wildlife coming right to your room window (if you are lucky to be placed on the ground floor.

    It's a wonderful place to visit, offering plenty of activities for both adults and kids. While things can be a bit pricey since everything is in USD, we had a fantastic experience in a clean city with friendly, accommodating people. We also felt very safe walking around.
