Located in Iðunnarstaðir, 43 km from Thingvellir National Park, Basalt Hotel provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The hot tub is very nice. Breakfast was varied, we loved the vegan yogurt!

Set in Jökulsárlón, 11 km from Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Hótel Jökulsárlón - Glacier Lagoon Hotel offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Our first impression of the hotel was that it looked much larger and more beautiful than in the pictures. We stayed in the family suite, which is a spacious 50 m², perfect for the three of us. The room offers a stunning view, is clean, modern, and well-designed, with a clever TV partition separating the bed from the sofa bed. The bathroom is also impressive, featuring both a shower and a bathtub. Additionally, the room comes with a refrigerator, which was very convenient. The location is ideal for visiting nearby attractions such as Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and the ice caves. The hotel’s dinner was delicious, though on the pricier side. The only downside was that the room felt too dark, and we had to request additional lamps to brighten it up.

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. amazing view, excellent breakfast

Set in Geysir, 100 metres from Geysir, Hotel Geysir offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. One of the best hotels we've ever been to. Modern, great design, friendly staff, spacious rooms.

Situated in Gardur, Lighthouse-Inn offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a sun terrace and sea views. All units feature air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. I LOVED everything about the Lighthouse Inn! The perfect location to see the Northern Lights, plus beautiful cosy wooden rooms, and an amazing restaurant in-house!

Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. It was the best hotel we stayed in this year in Iceland. The room is comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. Breakfast is good, with a lot of choices. We also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, and we were happy with the food also.

Set in Akureyri, 39 km from Godafoss Waterfall, Hotel Halond offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The place was big , clean and comfortable. Bed was really comfortable and the dining area was clean and orderly. The coffee maker in the room is a nice amenity.

Situated in Ölfus, 48 km from The Pearl, Hotel Kvika features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Everything was ok. Spacious and clean room. Delicious breakfast. Hot tub was a bonus :)

Siglo Hotel by Keahotels in Siglufjörður has 4-star accommodation with a terrace and a bar. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. It very stylish hotel. Calm and beautiful location. Nice and cosy rooms. Good breakfast with a nice view. The restaurant also sems good, but we didn't manage to try it, as we arrived late.

Set 27 km from Hella and 12 km from Laugaland, Landhotel features a garden, bar and free WiFi. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Our stay at Landhótel was wonderful. The room was cozy, modern, and the location was perfect. We loved their unique wake-up call for the northern lights, which made the experience even more special. We initially booked two nights but ended up extending our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!
