Although the world’s smallest country after Vatican City, it’s home to an enticing mix of historical and modern attractions. Monaco is best-known for its super-rich district of Monte Carlo. Its reputation for glitz and glamour have seen it featured on the big screen on many occasions, including several James Bond films which depicted scenes inside the world-famous Casino de Monte-Carlo. Monaco is often overlooked for its historic riches, but a walk through Monaco-Ville promises sights of medieval houses, as well as the Monaco Cathedral and the Palais Princier (Prince’s Palace).
