Our room was comfortable, featuring a panoramic view, a private terrace, and a unique outdoor shower. ​This is a truly positive and life-affirming destination that respects its ecological surroundings. It's a place worth staying at for several days to fully appreciate its charm and natural beauty.

Homely cottage feeling , outside window botanical garden flowers in bloom. The staff is welcoming and attentive . Felt safe and protected Had good night sleep The room is cleaned daily. Nice breakfast served in your room if needed On leaving early morning, breakfast was prepared for me to take on my forward journey .

Bumpy, dirt road to the facility is worth to travel to reach this gem. Friendly staff, excellent and well priced food, overall impeccable cleanliness. Rooms in the form of bungalows with lake view (just 20 m away from the shore), with tea and coffee making facilities. You wake up to the sound of birds and fishermen singing in their boats. Paradise for bird watchers. Calm and relaxing - strongly recommended!

Set in Ruhondo, 49 km from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Ruhondo Island Retreat offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. I really loved my stay on the island! I stayed for 3 days and it was nice and relaxing. Amazingly enough, I was the only guest the entire time I was there! The owners were wonderful and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome and treated me like family. Big shout out to my main man Jean, the manager! He went above and beyond to make sure I had a memorable stay and is a great friend! The food, service and off island experiences were fantastic (Jean is an excellent tour guide and has tons of incredible side trips for you!) The island itself is beautiful and full of life. If you want to have a unique experience in nature, yet enjoy the luxury and comfort of home, then this is the perfect place for you! For me this was the experience of a lifetime! Book yourself a few days at very least, you won’t regret it!

Located in Ruhengeri, 39 km from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, THE TREKKER's REST LODGE provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The place is great. It seems brand new, it's a great value for money. The man taking care of it was so nice to make breakfast at 06.00 in order for us to go hiking on time. I would definitely recommend it. Only if you have your own car though. There is not really a reception, and the guy in charge didn't know we would come. He had to call the manager to verify.

Akagera Park Inn has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Akagera. This 3-star hotel offers room service and dry cleaning services. I cannot even express the gratitude I have for people and this place! They went above and beyond, do not hesitate to stay here, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the place to stay, the rooms are immaculate, they washed our clothes, prepared our food which tasted phenomenal, I dream about the tilapia! They went all out for my husbands birthday, arranged for halal meat! Wow! Couldn't believe it! Best hotel ive ever stayed in, truly and I have travelled the world, they even organised our tour for the national park, exceptional! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart!
