Spacious, beautiful place in the centre of action and with everything you need in it i.e. extra towels, extra sheets, cuttlery, dishes, fridge, washing machine, dryer, coffee maker, teas, coffees etc. Amazing host who lets you be independent i.e. self check-in but who is always there for you and goes above and beyond (they dropped us to the lake and to the airport when we had trouble with the buses). Few mins walk from the castle and a bit longer (15mins) walk to the new town.

The location was perfect for exploring the medieval city; when we went the pool was open (thanks to the unseasonably warm weather), so this was a lovely bonus and we got to cool down after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is not far from the airport bus stop too.

Our stay at Hotel Pont Levis - Franck Putelat was excellent! The location, right next to the gates of the medieval city of Carcassonne, is incredibly convenient, especially in December when the city is beautifully decorated for the holidays.
