We loved everything! The entire house has clearly been a labour of love, perhaps even obsession 😍 It is a real treat to stay in such a wonderful home, brim-full with collections and luxurious decoration. Breakfast was great too, and we compared notes on our rooms with another couple who were staying. After breakfast Paul let my wife play on their gorgeous piano in the sitting room, which she loved.

His attention to detail, local knowledge, and heartfelt enthusiasm made us feel not just accommodated, but truly looked after. Whether it was insider tips on where to dine, hidden corners of Hastings to explore, or day trips in the surrounding countryside – every recommendation was spot on. The breakfast was, quite simply, sublime – lovingly prepared, beautifully presented, and worthy of a fine dining experience (without the stiff upper lip).
