Czech RepublicWe chose the hotel for its history and great restaurant references. We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the staff here. In other 5* hotels in Sri Lanka, guests may wear shorts to dinner, but here the dress code is followed, which we were really glad for. The hotel is really representative. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. I am on a gluten free diet and everything was prepared for me to enjoy. A big thank you to Norbert who looked after us in the restaurant and especially dinner was a real highlight. In the morning we went for a walk among the tea plantations and visited a small tea museum. If we had not booked another hotel for our sightseeing tour of Sri Lanka, we would have stayed another night. We will definitely be back again.
