This was my first visit to Râmnicu Vâlcea. I don't usually write reviews, but the accommodation was so excellent that I had to leave one. The restaurant is very good, the rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. It's located near the city center, markets and rastaurant and bars. It has a private parking but if you with car you can park in front of the hotel.

Surrounded by the Zavoi Park, 300 metres from the centre of Ramnicu Valcea, Grand Hotel Sofianu hosts an art museum with works of 500 representative Romanian plastic artists.
