My wife and I enjoyed every moment we spent at the Royal Hawaiian. The location is excellent, with a plus for the beach accessible by guests. Staff are all very competent and super polite. We will keep great memories of this resort.

For our week long stay in Oahu we had originally booked a hotel in downtown Waikiki. However, when we saw the swingeing car parking costs, we cancelled out and decided to look further afield. We are glad we did because we found the brilliant Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head! It is in a quiet location but only a 20 minute walk away through a pleasant park from the centre of Waikiki with its hustle and bustle. It’s also a two minute walk from a nice little sandy beach with excellent snorkelling. Our corner room on the 4th floor was very nice but the view of Diamond Head was rather obscured by trees. We did ask if a room on an upper floor might become available and the lovely staff arranged to move us up to a room on the 9th floor on the next day where the views were fabulous! We really must mention the staff as all we met were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Christieann was particularly helpful on the day of our room move. We thought the Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head was great and we would gladly stay there again!

Staff are lovely and location perfect. Royal Gardens is walking distance to everywhere! No need to take the Trolley to Ala Moana - it’s a 25m walk to the centre - from your door to Macy’s. It’s 10 minutes in the other direction to the best Poke Bar at Waikiki Beach Walk and an easy 15 minutes to Ross Dress For Less at Seaside Ave. All the buses stop on Kuhio only 200m away to take you to Diamond Head or Bishops Museum or Arizona Memorial or Ala Moana. Perfect!
