This is my favourite romantic getaway in Durban. It's located very close to the Umhlanga city centre and incredible beachfront. The rooms are luxurious, the spa is well-appointed and we always wish our stay could have been a little bit longer.

A rooftop pool is behind aha Gateway Hotel - Umhlanga's characteristic green ‘screen’ surrounding the front the building. This eco-friendly hotel is attached to the Gateway Theatre of Shopping.

I didn't get the option to choose the room ,as I wanted the one with a bath tub but the was i got was nice as well.
