The very first impression is the sound of the native bird life, quickly followed by being given the whole upstairs area of Blue Gum, including the kitchen and external raised seating and balcony area - set amongst the trees with glimpses of the sea through trees and mangroves, with amazing bird life. Exploring the local area needs more time than we had allocated, Pearl beach and so many others need and deserve more time. Our hosts are great, breakfast was great and we are thinking of returning at some time and staying longer in this area.

The location was perfect for our needs. Easy walking distance to shops and a lovely walkway path around the lake. The restaurant attached had a good selection of meals.

The award-winning Ocean Restaurant offers an à la carte dining experience with spectacular views of the ocean. It serves fresh seafood dishes like poached ocean trout or salmon. There was an amazing view from the balcony. I could have spent my whole stay just sitting there looking out at the ocean! The room was clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The staff were friendly too.

Each refurbished modern room includes an LCD TV with selected cable channels and Chromecast, air conditioning, heating, an ergonomically designed work space and a luxurious en suite bathroom. Many rooms boast views of Terrigal Beach. The service at the front counter by the young man was outstanding - he was so patient as I had booked the wrong date. He was very caring and every hotel should have this young man on their front desk.

Guests enjoy free onsite parking. The property is just 12 minutes' from Erina Fair. The service was incredible, we needed some help with a few thing and the staff were immediately available to help us sort everything out. The room was huge and clean and the bathroom felt very new with really great water pressure. Amazing stay especially considering it’s dog friendly, we’ll definitely be back
