Set in a 1930s historical building, Grande Hotel Petrópolis is just 50 metres from the Imperial Museum in Petropolis. It offers accommodation with split air conditioning, a fitness centre and free Wi-Fi. This is a beautiful hotel with a rich history! The lady who checked us in late in the evening was incredibly friendly, helpful, and spoke perfect English, which is quite rare in Brazil. The rest of the staff was equally professional and kind throughout our stay. The room was very spacious—no view, but super comfy. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked quickly. However, the only downside was that the hot water in the shower took forever to flow. Breakfast was delicious, though it could have offered more vegetarian options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience right in the heart of the city!
