The Wakefield Mill Inn and Spa offers a lounge area with fireplace and view of the MacLaren Falls. Guests can dine in The Wakefield Lounge, which features French cuisine. What a nice 2 night stay at Wakefield mill. We had 2 deluxe rooms in the main Mill building. The rooms were very comfortable, rustic and had lots of space. We had a lovely view over the river. We had lunch and dinner at the Heron bistro, the food was excellent. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and it was also excellent, with attention to presentation. The staff in general was very welcoming and friendly. The General Manager came to speak with us the first morning of our stay and recommended some local walks in Wakefield town. Two members of our party had a massage at the spa, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't try the outside spa, however, it looked really welcoming by the river. The outdoors facilities are really nice, with the red Adirondack chairs and the gardens. We will absolutely return if we are in this area.
