The Hotel Achenbach is in a quiet side street within the Flingern district. It has elegant rooms with cable TV, work desks, and modern private bathrooms. A fab and comfortable hotel with great staff. The location is great. We were given a free travel card to cover public transport costs during our stay which was a great unexpected bonus. You can get to the centre of the city on the tram very quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only note is that we hadn’t realised that having coffee brought to the room had a cost (no coffee in the room) but the coffee was delicious so we didn’t mind!

I must say that I was not wrong, I chose an amazing, excellent, clean, quiet, romantic hotel in an amazing location, very close to all the attractions in the city. Very close to the river, the restaurant and bar area, to Conissala Street. And in particular, very close to the carnival parade. After many years of staying in dozens of hotels around the world, the Hotel de Medici is one of the best, clean, luxurious, quiet and romantic hotels I have stayed in. Beyond all this, the value for money is excellent. The price is fair and very reasonable for the carnival period. The staff at the amazing hotel is helpful and very kind and polite. A breakfast buffet is provided. Loved the room, the view, the sauna and the free apples. Great stay! Highly recommend.
