The view could never be bettered as amazing view of the harbour in Portree and all the mountains etc. proximity to Portree excellent if you don’t have a vehicle. Little beach at the bottom of a lane. Food top notch. Service beyond great. Check in very professional and friendly. We have been to this hotel numerous times over the past 24 years. Wonderful. Lots to do on Skye. Book ahead as very busy.

There was a good choice for breakfast - worth coming just for the fresh fruit with nuts and seeds and yoghurt, and Tunnocks Teacakes in the hospitality tray (my favourites).

We asked if we could have separate beds and she very kindly changed our booking from a family room to a triple room. Our room was very cosy, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was nice too. Excellent location: only a short walk to the centre.

It is set 17 km from The Castle Gardens of Mey and features luggage storage space. Highly recommended! Wish we could have stayed a few nights. The host and her dogs were just lovely, and the rooms were comfortable, cute, and very clean! Very nice.
