It is less than 20 minutes’ drive from Warwick, where guests can visit the imposing castle built by William the Conqueror in 1068. Cosy and convenient, short walk to town centre. The host made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was delicious. Would love to visit again.

A full cooked English breakfast is served in a room which once acted as the dairy for the castle and still retains its original sandstone floor. This a beautiful B&B right beside the gates of Warwick castle. If you like old world charm this is the place for you. The host was a lovely lady so friendly and helpful. The house is full of charm, the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. I will absolutely return. Highly recommend.

In good weather, guests are welcome to sit outside. Lovely house and view in a beautiful region. Best breakfast we have had in ages--we stayed two nights and were only too happy to request the exact same the 2nd morning. Thanks for our wonderful stay! Already upon leaving we were thinking of when we could come back.

People were friendly. There was a kitchen near the rooms. So you could make your own food and beverages.

The Salamander Guesthouse is a 2 storey Edwardian building which has recently undergone an extensive renovation (May 2023) to modernise all its facilities, offering guests comfortable accommodation all with en-suite shower rooms. The host Alex was exceptionally welcoming, from parking our car across the narrow lane to the back, carrying our bags, providing a local map and advice on where to eat and places to visit. Is was really very good. Besides the room there was a common sitting/living/dinning room that was very useful since we arrived late an had to have takeaway for dinner.
