The Waterfront Rest B&B is a beach-front property located on the peaceful Wild Atlantic Way in the heart of Connemara. Rooms overlook the beautiful water and free WiFi is available in public areas. The property is recommended by Le Guide du Routard. Very clean and cosy rooms. Each room has a beautiful view on the lake. We literally just spend some time staring out the window 😊 The breakfast is very nice as well, the host freshly makes you pancakes or an Irish breakfast.

Leenane Hotel is family-run hotel, where fresh seafood from the harbour and vegetables from the hotel garden are used every day. I live in the area and have enjoyed dinner here before, but stayed for a number of nights recently due to service failures at my residence during Storm Bert. The hotel is lovely and comfortable; especially the residents’ lounge. The staff are stellar and made our stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Will stay again just for fun.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, the views were amazing, and the food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious. The rooms were charming and clean, and the location in the center of Roundstone was perfect for exploring the Connemara area. I highly recommend this property.

Buttermilk Lodge offers self-catering apartments 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, you can just park your car and easily walk to town.

There are 3 apartments with private external entrance - 2 x one-bedroom on the ground floor and 1 x two-bedroom self-catering apartment on the first floor, upstairs and 3 further apartments located in the main building, entered by the main entrance - 2 x one bedroom and one x 2 bedroom, these are located on the first floor -upstairs. Exceptionally high standard of guest accommodation, absolute comfort, attention to every detail, comfortable furniture, spacious rooms, beautiful furnishings, artwork, small details that received very careful attention. I have travelled in over 30 countries, have stayed in many B&Bs and occasionally in 5-star hotels, but never found a place that equalled the careful thought that has been put into the accommodation at Buttermilk Lodge in Clifden. We will certainly return and we have taken the business cards provided to share with all our friends. Having a private lounge/kitchen in addition to ensuite bedroom was wonderful, with large TV in both rooms. Our hostess, Catriona, had left very welcome food in the frig -including orange juice, milk, plenty of butter, jam and marmalade - and we greatly appreicated her home-made brown bread and fruitcake - which was really thoughtful and generous. The fact that Buttermilk Lodge provides conditions for self catering in a private lounge with fully equipped kitchen, made our stay less expensive than if we were eating out every day. This accommodation is very conveniently located to Clifden town and access to all the wonders of the Connemara landscape and coastal resorts.

Each room at All the Twos provides a flat-screen LCD TV with satellite channels. Bathrooms feature power showers, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Rooms also include a hospitality tray with tea and coffee, and many rooms boast mountain views. Very very roomy, comfortable king size bed, quiet, price very reasonable. No breakfast but coupon given for €10 breakfast at downtown hotel which we used and was very good. Front desk person gave good advice to our questions. On edge of town but 1 km walk to the Station bar.

Centrally located in the heart of Clifden Town Square, the Alcock and Brown is perfectly situated for you to leisurely browse the local shops, boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants, while being perfectly located to explore the beautiful surroundings of Connemara on day trips. Really a lot of effort went into the breakfast. Tea and coffee were served to us, which i really didn't expect and wouldn't take for granted.
