In the shadow of Kilkenny Castle, the Hibernian Hotel is in the heart of Kilkenny city. Originally the Hibernian Bank, this building overlooks the Parade, popular because it's close to Kilkenny Castle and the Kilkenny Design Centre. Reception very helpful. It was later in the day when we arrived so after a quick walk were able to have a very nice dinner and drinks in the Hibernian Bar accompanied later by an Irish band. Breakfast was excellent and everything we needed was supplied in our room. Right opposite the Palace and Design shop I came here to visit.

Right opposite St Luke’s General Hospital, this boutique hotel offers newly refurbished chic and traditional rooms. All of the rooms have the usual facilities as well as free wifi and 40’’ smart TV’s so you can binge on your favorite shows. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was cute and the bathroom was amazing. Particularly loved the decor of the breakfast room. Breakfast was really good. Would definitely consider another stay at the Kilkenny House Boutique.
