Outstanding location and service from Heidi and Padraig. Could not be better, we wished we could stay longer. If possible we would like to give a 12 out of 10.

Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. Ailwee Cave, also featuring an underground river and a waterfall, is only 3km from the property.

With free parking, this guest house offers easy access to the stunning Irish countryside. Corcomroe Abbey, an early 13th-century Cistercian monastery, is 20 minutes’ drive away. This property is the most beautiful, majestic space with breathtaking architecture. It is nestled into a hill with views of The Burren and the sound of flowing water is around every corner. There are several inviting common areas complete with fireplaces and the feeling of contemplation and peace. We topped off our eve with a whiskey at the “help yourself” bar. The next morning we visited the Ailwee Caves (a must see) and the 16th century tower house called Newtown Castle which is part of Burren College of Art - there was true student talent. Both places are a short walk or drive from The Waters Country House. This is a one of a kind B & B NOT to be missed and Wolfgang and Maria are the most gracious proprietors!

Located just 1.5 km from Killarney High Street, Gleann Fia Country House offers guests e car charging and free parking. Located on the river Deenagh with acres of wild garden. We are located at V93 XY01 on a country road with no footpath or lighting. Use of a car or taxi is advisable. Breakfast was amazing. And of course the hosts were so friendly and kind.

A 2-minute walk from Killarney town centre, Killarney Lodge offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi throughout. The Lodge is within walking distance of the world renowned National Park.

Killarney Lodge is just 3 km from Lough Leane and boasts several wonderful golf courses on its doorstep. The Lodge also offers an extensive breakfast menu. The location was perfect. It was very close to the centre, but it was secluded and peaceful. The lodge had a home feel to it. Breakfast was exceptional, and they had fresh flowers everywhere.

Rooms are individually decorated with a lovely country house style. The rooms all have en suite showers, satellite TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. Irons, hairdryers and telephones are also provided and free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Very kind and helpful staff, great breakfast, delicious food in the restaurant.
