Hotel Duomo is just 15 steps up the stone stairway from Orvieto's majestic Gothic Cathedral. All rooms feature air conditioning, an LCD TV with DVD player, and a small table with 2 chairs. Some offer views of the Cathedral. I appreciate the cleanliness of the room! I felt comfortable and safe as a solo traveler and absolutely LOVED the location. There was a parking lot close by in which I used to store my rental car while I stayed here. I would highly recommend considering a stay here if cleanliness, safety, and comfort is what matters most to you.

The location is great because you have the bus station across the street. Assisi is a little town in a mountain so the streets go up and down. This hotel is located in the upper part so you can cross all the town in your way down and is really easy to go back to the hotel using the bus if you want to avoid the uphills, although is a beautiful experience to walk up and down. Nearby you can find several little restaurants and a beautiful church. The hotel has its own parking lot so if you get there driving is a facility. If you don’t get there driving, the driveway is in front of the hotel so you won’t get any trouble to get there with your luggage. That is something quite important having in consideration that in Assisi there are lots of streets with no car access and that makes the luggage handling difficult. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful.
