Piece Hostel Sanjo offers private and dormitory rooms in the heart of Kyoto. Featuring a lounge and terrace of modern design, the property is located within walking distance from Sanjo Station on the Keihan Line, Karasuma Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line and Kyoto Shiyakusyomae Station on the Tozai Line. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, while pocket WiFi can be rented at the front desk. The room (one for two people with private bathroom) was very clean and although tiny for European standards, it was quite comfortable. The location is amazing! In a nice neighbourhood with many things to do around, in walking distance to main attractions and quite well connected. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is the option to store your luggage for free. I would totally recommend it.

Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It features a spacious and comfortable lounge, a tatami (woven-straw) terrace and a wall-size map with latest event information around Kyoto. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property, while portable WiFi devices are available for guests to use during their stay for an additional fee. So convenient and the facilities are new, clean and organised. Bed (I had the single bed loft room) was comfy, bathtub and bath salts very welcomed after long days walking (shared area), and kitchen was equipped, outdoor area cute. Suck a vibe

Only a 2-minute walk from Kyoto Station, Kyoto Century Hotel provides air-conditioned rooms with free internet. The hotel features 3 dining options and massage treatments.

All rooms at Century Kyoto feature a TV with satellite channels, refrigerator and electric kettle. The private bathrooms have a bathtub, shower and hairdryer. Free toiletries including toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided. Great location, right next to the main station in Kyoto (despite that, the room was quiet, and we couldn’t hear the trains). The room was very spacious and clean, with towels replaced daily and cleaning every two days. Additionally, there was coffee, tea, and water in the room, as well as facial care kits. During our trip to Japan, we stayed in three different hotels, and this one was definitely the best—such a comfortable stay, and I would gladly come back again. Highly recommend!

Only a 5-minute walk from Shiyakusho-Mae Subway Station, Nishiyama Ryokan - Established in 1953 features Japanese-style rooms, a garden and rental bicycles. This non-smoking hotel provides in-room massages service can be arranged. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the premises. Since I put a foot inside the hotel, everyone was super nice towards me. The staff is really there for you for anything that you need. I was allowed to use the public bath even when I was tattoed! It amazed me how the managed to make such a traditional hotel in the hearth of the city. The breakfast was sublilme and, to be honest, I'm not a tea guy, but I enjoyed having the tea ceremony and even liked the taste of the tea! At the end, they gave me a little gift that included pictures of me wearing the yukata.
