From Tsubakino Hotel it is a 40-minute drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park, as well as to the Hokusai-kan Museum in Obuse Town. Stuff was great and helpful. Private air bath on rooftop was amazing.

JR Karuizawa Train Station is a 5-minute drive away, and a free shuttle from the station is also available. The room was spacious with good view. The bedding was comfortable, however the pillows were too soft. The hot spring was extraordinary.

Hot-spring baths, a sauna and bathroom facilities are available at its sister property, a few steps away. Drinks vending machines and free parking are on site. Staff were wonderful and helpful. The facility was very clean and comfortable. Stayed in the the annex, which I heard just opened last month. It was just across the street. The tea offered added an authentic experience. It was 12 minutes walking distance to the train station, although they still offered shuttle services.

The spacious rooms offer beautiful views of the surrounding nature, while Free WiFi is available in public areas and in the guest room. The hotel was very comfortable, included many nice amenities, the staff was very friendly and helpful, very nice installations.

Some hot spring baths can be rented for private use. The property is a 15-minute bus ride from JR Matsumoto Station, and a 10-minute bus ride to the national treasure, Matsumoto Castle. Free parking is available. This is a very special place to stay. The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind, and the food is exceptional. The public bath (available 24h) is very pleasant but the private baths are amazing. We’ll never forget lying in our outdoor pool watching the rain fall from the camellia petals…. We had an early start and the staff were so helpful in arranging a slightly early breakfast and a taxi for us. A perfect stay - thank you!
