The air-conditioned rooms have tatami flooring and Japanese-style futon beds. We had a great stay in Nanten-en! The staff is very nice and always ready to help. The place is lovely (room, garden, etc), just next to the Amami train station. The onsen is a nice experience, very relaxing. Diner in the room is fabulous (different dishes are served) and bed are very comfy. We highly recommend to stay at Nanten-en to live fully the ryokan experience :)
