Re-opened in 2012 after thorough renovations, the Tokyo Station Hotel is registered as an Important Cultural Property and boasts gorgeous rooms in a classical European style. It features a French restaurant and stylish bars, and free WiFi is offered throughout. Its entrance is right next to the Marunouchi South Exit of Tokyo Station. The staff was amazing, the concierge team was very helpful and they were always available to answer any question we had and make reservations for us which is essential in Tokyo! The rooms were VERY clean, spacious and had excellent amenities. The location is probably one of the best things about this hotel as you are right on Tokyo Station and to get around the city as well as in and out of Tokyo, this is the best place to be.

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath.

There is a bath for each gender on site and both the female and male baths offer a view of Senso-ji Temple’s Five-storied Pagoda. This was my second time staying at the ryokan, I love it. Just like the first time, the staff was very attentive, polite, and helpful. The ryokan is very well located, close to Asakusa Temple, shopping streets, and the subway. Despite the busy streets, the ryokan is very quiet. The bathroom is quite modern, and the room maintains the traditional style while also being spacious.

Open from December 2015, Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Schole is located just a 2-minute walk from Oshiage Subway Station, the closest station from the Tokyo Skytree. It features free WiFi and a restaurant. I only booked for one night because the other hotel I stayed at was terrible, but wow, this place completely blew me away! The rooms are so big, spacious, and incredibly clean – especially compared to the typically smaller hotel rooms you find in Japan. It felt like I had so much room to breathe, with plenty of space for my luggage and even to move around comfortably. I fell in love instantly! It’s a bit on the expensive side, but trust me when I say it’s 100% worth it. I’m definitely staying here next time I visit!

Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa is a 2-minute walk from Kaminarimon and Sensoji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station is a 5-minute walk away. The hotel offers Japanese-style accommodation with a free private bath and free internet. I was able to book this place last minute for a night only but it was a great experience! I cannot tell you how friendly the staff was. They were really helpful, they even helped me get into a cab and explained to the driver in Japanese where I'm going. And the location is the best. Right in the heart of Asakusa very close to everything. I really liked this experience of staying in a ryokan, highly recommended
