The gardens are stunningly beautiful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced and the restaurant staff very attentive. We really enjoyed feeding the turtles in the turtle garden and seeing the beehive. The cave under the hotel was very unique. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

The owner from Nice gave us some of the best service we have ever received. He upgraded our room without charge for our honeymoon, drew us a map of Merida with recommendations, carried our luggage to the room, made sure we had cold water for the night, and much more. 10/10. Super cute hotel and outdoor area as well.

Free WiFi access is available throughout. The Diplomat is a beautifully designed boutique hotel in a wonderfully relaxed setting. From the moment we stepped through the door we were so warmly welcomed by Sara, Eric and their team and loved every minute of our stay. The welcome margarita was the best of our 3 week stay in Mexico (we tried many!) and our enormous room, which opened onto the pool terrace was simply perfect. Sara organised massages in our room on our first evening and her restaurant suggestions were perfect. We had already booked a guide (Raul Gil +52 999 157 9312) who, by coincidence, turned out to be the guide that The Diplomat used. He was fantastic and took us for a great day out to the Celustan, followed by visits to an old Hacienda and Uxmal (in our opinion a way better experience than Chichen Itza). The delicious breakfasts at the hotel were different each day and it was a treat to have afternoon tea!

Excellent location and delicious warm breakfast every morning. Beautiful surroundings with lush green gardens, nice pool to cool off. Aaron was a great resource for recommendations for dinner.

Featuring an outdoor pool and set next to Francisco Cantón Park, Hotel Mesón del Marqués is set in a Colonial 17-century house. Surrounded by attractive gardens, it offers an à la carte restaurant and free parking. Hotel was lovely. Room was well equiped, staff very friendly. Pool was a very nice touch. Breakfast was amazing. Location was great, right in the middle of town. Staff very friendly as well. Parking was available on site. On the higher side of price but was worth it given the ammenities offered.
