Hotel Sentral Kuantan offers spacious air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi in the entire property. It is located right opposite famous local eateries and a 5-minute drive from popular shopping options like East Coast Mall. The check-in was delayed due to housekeeping, but other than that, everything in the room was well-provided, including the toilet, air-conditioner, and amenities such as toothbrush, towel, and drinking water. I had booked a river-facing room, although it's not exactly a direct river view; the room faces the hotel’s parking lot, with the river visible beyond that (attached the pic from my room). The breakfast was also enjoyable, with a satisfying selection of nasi lemak, char koew teow, bread, and porridge. Overall, no complaints, it was a good stay. The staff was also friendly.

Swiss-Garden Beach Resort, Kuantan located a 15-minute drive away from Kunatan itself. Its convenient location offers easy access to many tourist attractions and batik souvenir shops. The room was very clean very well maintained, staff are very friendly. The beachfront is also easy to access.

Surrounded by lush greenery, Highlanders Garden Guesthouse is a 3-minute walk to the town centre of Tanah Rata. This guesthouse is only a 5-minute drive from well-known strawberry farms. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all the hotel rooms. Nice, comfortable guesthouse. In a quiet corner of the town, and surrounded by a nice garden, but very close to several good restaurants. If you want you can use the downstairs kitchen and fridge to bring and prepare your own breakfast. Also a good central location to stay if you want to discover the Cameron Highlands.
