A bit out of the center in a good way. Still within walking distance of a supermarket and some restaurants. Access to the river was great. Spacious room. Full kitchen, well-equipped overall. A lodge-like feel. Quiet.

The Reef Resort Motel offers self-contained accommodation on the edge of the Lake Taupo. The property features an outdoor heated freshwater pool and a thermal pool with a hot tub.

The modern units have either lake, mountain or pool views and all include a spa bath and a well-equipped kitchenette. Modern amenities include air conditioning and TV reception. it was very clean and spacious the pol and the spa were a dream.

The location was 10 minute drive from the centre of Taupo, breakfast was excellent. Angie and Garth were incredibly friendly giving us help with places to eat and all around the local area. Despite the cold weather in New Zealand for summer we had a fire in the lodge to keep us warm.

The motel features stunning lake views from all apartments. Some rooms have a private balcony and a spa bath. A flat-screen TV, refrigerator, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities are also provided. - very close to the lake - extremely friendly and helpful staff - had a spa thingy (really needed it after the Tongariro trekking) - nice bed - was able to invite guests over which was cool

Located on the edge of Lake Taupo, The Cove- On The Lake offers luxury rooms with satellite TV and either fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. It features a tour desk that can book local activities, including trout fishing, skydiving and mountain biking. Free parking is available on site. What a pleasure it was to stay at The Cove. The manager could not have been more accommodating, simply excellent service. The room was lovely, well appointed. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Just 2 minutes’ walk from Lake Taupo, Acapulco Motor Inn offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. It features a hot tub and a barbecue area with outdoor seating. Free parking is available on site. Breakfast was good but they cleared the buffet away to early.

VERY comfortable hotel in a truly perfect location. Beautiful view overlooking the lake. Close to town for selection of restaurants and shops. Outstanding breakfast. (Try the French toast!!). Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well-appointed - amazing water pressure. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
