Hotel Los Tambos Boutique is an elegant hotel in Arequipa, a city constructed entirely from white volcanic rock. It offers a rooftop terrace with views of Misti Volcano and adventure sports excursions. I arrived in Arequipa on Monday afternoon (30 December 2024), and twisted my ankle 5 minutes into my Walking Tour. I did not get a chance to see any of Arequipa’s attractions or celebrate New Year’s Eve. I stayed indoors for 2 days to heal my swollen ankle. The team took care of me in the following ways: * Moved my luggage from my room on the 4th floor to Ground floor (because the lift was not working) * Gave me ice (for my swollen ankle) in the morning, afternoon and night every day from Monday until Thursday * Served breakfast in my room on Tuesday and Wednesday (it was so delicious!) * Helped me to call LATAM and Copa Airlines for me to change and confirm my flights (I was on hold for a long time on multiple attempts) * Advised me on which Tours to take (and arranged for Ruta del Sillar) and restaurants to go to based on my limited mobility My heartfelt appreciation to everyone who was on duty during my stay: Milagros, Fiorela, José, Lino, Enrique, Favian, Jhorly, Nadhia & Saly. They took good care of me and made me feel at home when I was traveling alone and so far away from home.

Located at the Plaza de Armas, across from the city’s historical Cathedral, Katari Hotel at Plaza de Armas offers accommodations with free WiFi access in Arequipa. The property features a terrace with panoramic views of the city and the volcanoes. The terrasse on top has an amazing view! Even though the hotel is directly at the main square, the rooms were quiet and the outside noise was not notable in the hotel.

Mint Hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi in Arequipa, only a 5-minute drive from the city main square. A daily a la carte breakfast is offered.

Rooms at Mint are equipped with TVs with cable channels and minibars. Some rooms include terraces. Featuring a shower, private bathrooms also come with free toiletries and towels. Extras include a desk and a safety deposit box. Very clean. Good, safe location. Friendly and helpful staff. A restaurant with good food that stayed open until 10 PM (which was important for us!).

Located 300 metres from the main square and Mercaderes street and right behind the Monastery of Santa Catalina (built in 1579), Las Torres de Ugarte offers free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfast in central Arequipa. It combines modern and colonial decor. The staff was amazing The morning we went to cañon del colca at 3 am they offer us breakfast to take out so we won't missed breakfast at 7:15am Definitely going back!!

Set in a refurbished mansion with charming colonial style architecture, La Casa de Melgar is set in Arequipa’s historical district. Guests can relax in the garden or in the central courtyard with a stone fountain. Wi-Fi is free. Amazing place to stay! Very nicely restored.

Only 200 metres from Arequipa’s Main Square, Tierra Viva Arequipa Plaza offers stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Breakfast is provided. Mercaderes street is 100 metres away.

Rooms at Tierra Viva Arequipa feature heating and private bathrooms. Toiletries include craft soaps and body lotions. Location, room size, flexibility of stay. I asked for one hour extension & they agreed to it at no extra charge. Newer bathrooms.

Set in a charming colonial-style building with Spanish galleries, Majestad Boutique Hotel offers nicely decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi just 1 block from picturesque La Merced church. Arequipa's main square is 300 metres away. Excellent hotel, I enjoyed my stay there, I would return to it again. Highly recommend

At the Colca Lodge Spa & Hot Springs Guests can go on horse-riding trips across the Colca Valley or simply unwind on the spacious sun loungers by the garden. Basic internet satellite service is available at the front desk. Not the cheapest place in the area but it has its private own HOT SPINGS + own footbridge + Alpaca farm. Great and abundant breakfast, quiet place - beautiful gardens, great dinner and restaurant! Decently a must go place when visiting the Colca Canyon!

Offering a garden and mountain view, Miskiwasi Bed & Breakfast is located in Yanque, 8 km from Bus Station and 8.2 km from Chivay Arena. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Yanque is beautiful- great walks, ruins and hot springs to soak away any soreness from hiking. This is a real gem of a place to stay. It is very professionally run and all the staff are lovely and really attentive and helpful. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and tranquil. The restaurant food is great, as was the breakfast. We had booked for 2 nights but stayed for 3. Thank you Miskiwasi.

Rooms feature a warm décor with a mix of wood and Peruvian local textiles and arts. All provide stunning views of the valley. The private bathrooms have a bath and a shower. Room service is also available. Suites are beautifully decorated, lots of natural light, very clean and even have heated flooring. Beautiful flower gardens along the pathway between buildings. Gorgeous views of mountains.
