The units also feature a minibar and some a balcony. All the rooms are individually decorated with themes regarding historical Guimarães personalities. The hotel location is perfect! the staff is very helpful and room is big and we loved the breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel as it is near the centre and it is surrounded by many coffee shops and restaurants.

Located in the Peneda-Gerês National Park, Lagoa Azul do Geres offers apartments and rooms overlooking Albufeira da Caniçada and the outdoor pool. Guests can relax on the sun terrace with sun-loungers which surrounds the pool. We stayed at the apartment and loved the time by the pool and amazing view down to the Cavado River! Staff is really friendly and helps with all the questions! Hope to come back one day!

Each of the individually decorated rooms are located in what used to be cloisters. All rooms of Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes offer an en suite bathroom. Fantastic breakfast. Very clean place with perfect service.

Located in Braga, Tea 4 Nine Guest House lunch is served in the apartments. This self-catering accommodation features free WiFi. The property is 270 metres from Biscainhos Museum and 1.7 km from Braga Municipal Stadium. Super clean apartment on the first floor with needed kitchen equipment for make a light meal. The apartment is all white, which makes it easy to see that the apartment is very clean. There are bathrobes and slippers for when one gets back “home”, and dishwasher for cleaning the dishes so one does not need to hand wash. The bed and pillows are on the firm side (perfect for me). There is a small convenience/supermarket just a few steps away, and a larger one (Pingo Doce) about 5 min walk away (I am a speed walker FYI). The bus terminal is 5 min away (Google map says 7 min). All the “tourist sites” are near the apartment. Train station is about a 10 min walk (Google map says 13-15 min). Can’t comment on parking as I didn’t drive, but I saw parking sign near the square where the apartment is located. Margarida provides breakfast for the entire stay, so please let her know if there is any dietary restriction. I didn’t as I didn’t expect it to be a “complete” continental breakfast (bread, prosciutto, cheese, milk, fruit juice, fruit, water, soda and even a bottle of vino verde!). I am gluten/sodium/sugar free due to health issues, so it isn’t easy for me when I travel, but for future visits I would definitely let Margarida know about my dietary restrictions. Overall I really enjoyed this stay and would definitely stay here again when I am back to Braga!

Electric vehicle charging station is available. I loved the pousada! The facility is fantastic and a joy to walk around, both the grounds and the building. The staff was so helpful and welcoming, from the front desk to the dining room. I felt welcomed and cared for. I would absolutely stay here again and will tell anyone I know traveling in Portugal to stay here!
