The property is 800 metres from Chiang Rai Saturday Night Walking Street. Chiang Rai Airport is 8 km away. Baan Jaru is the ideal combination of everything needed for a hotel. It is convenient and close to downtown and the markets, and it is quiet enough as the rooms have double pane glass and are in the back of the property. One of the biggest pluses is that they offer a FREE breakfast which is delicious and substantial. I don't know of any other property on Booking.com that gives a free breakfast. But the biggest reason to stay at Baan Jaru is it is a family-run business and the son, Toddy, studied in the UK for many years so he speaks fluent English, is very knowledgeable about the local areas and tourist spots in Chiang Rai, and knows what true guest services should be like. He is the main reason that they are so successful. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't change their room prices in the off or on-season because they have a high-quality product/service. I very highly recommend staying at the Baan Jaru if you visit Chiang Rai. I was 110% satisfied with my stay at Baan Jaru!

In case you want to prepare breakfast you have the possibility to use shared kitcen in the morning (free toast bread, eggs and coffee from the house) - was not the case for us, but is a nice, good option available. We didn't had fridge in the room, but a shared one was available in case of need. The staff is very comunicative and helpfull. One over the other, perfect accomodation for us and our needs - we actually used the room only over night, rest of the day we were out exploring the region.
