The staff was lovely and helpful. They even brought my luggage to the room which was very helpful with the kids. The garden next to the property was really nice, and the apartment with two bedrooms was very spacious and clean. Plenty of towels and everything necessary. Breakfast was wonderful and peaceful. It is very nice to find a family-run establishment these days. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel very close to the central train and bus station. We got a free upgrade from a family room to a business room. large living room + separate bedroom + bath and toilet. Friendly staff. Good facilities- the kids loved the pool and sauna. Breakfast was super. Lots of fresh fruit options, and eggs and bacon, etc. Great as a base to explore Salzburg and surrounding areas. Two large shopping centers about one block away.

The hotel has been recently renovated: modern design, new furniture, comfortable bed. Also there were cosmetics in the bathroom, including hair conditioner; and a kettle in the room with set of tea and coffee (these is a useful staff that unfortunately you won't find in every hotel). Lobby is small, however you can find there a coffee machine, that is free and you can use it when you want. Location is also great, 10 min from the train station and 10 min from the historical centre. You can walk or take trolleybus, the stop is just a few steps from the hotel.

The Hotel zum Hirschen is Salzburgs oldest family-run hotel, conveniently located in the city center and only a few minutes by foot from the historic old town and the train station.

The room was very spacious, and the breakfast was nice too. It's only a few stops by bus from the Hauptbahnhof, and also again a few stops to the old city. The most amazing feature of this hotel is the view from the room. It was just incredible.

The hotel is in a perfect location—right outside the train and bus stations to major sightseeing locations and cities. The room was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful, understanding, and communicated perfectly. We also had the option of leaving our luggage in the luggage room outside of check-in and check-out times. There is also a mall right next to the Hotel that has a McDonald's, which opens early and closes late at night.
