Absolutely fantastic hotel design, kindest staff, convenient location, l'occitane as a cosmetics, comfy bed, great restaurant, free snacks and coffee, they even offer waterproof bags for swimming with. One of the best hotels we stayed in.

Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town.

This boutique hotel is amazing. From the excellent and caring staff (Alex) to the facilities where they have thought of everything you need for a great stay. A welcome drink, a beautiful garden and a lovely room with the best shower, night lights, power blinds and great coffee. I wish we'd had a longer stay. Highly recommend.

The junior suite was beautiful, super spacious and comfortable. Breakfast superb. Pool and it's area was really enjoyable. Location fantastic and staff of the hotel nice and friendly.

Our family stay at this apartment in Basel city centre was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The apartment was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean—perfect for families with kids. The open-plan living area provided plenty of space for the kids to play while the fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, which was a huge bonus for us. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, ensuring everyone had a good night’s sleep. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like extra blankets, board games, and even a high chair and crib for our little one. The location was unbeatable—right in the heart of the city with easy access to public transport, shops, and family-friendly attractions like the Basel Zoo and beautiful parks along the Rhine River. It was so convenient to explore the city without needing a car. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing great recommendations for family activities and dining spots. Check-in was seamless, and we really appreciated the flexibility with check-out. Overall, this apartment was the perfect home base for our family trip to Basel. It combined comfort, convenience, and thoughtful amenities, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families visiting Basel!
