Reminisce of an old era that I could only read and watch old movies about. Charming & romantic. The staff were very attentive and always happy to please the guests. Breakfast items bought from neighborhood stalls and shops offering a taste of what the locals eat for breakfast. In-house costumes available for the guests to dress up in for photo shoots. Outsider dressed in era gone by coming to the public area for photo op bringing additional charm to the place.

We absolutely loved our stay!!
This place is really amazing, the rooms are very cosy and clean, the staff is wonderful and very friendly. Special thanks to Jerry, Tom and Julie for being super helpful throughout our stay. Most importantly, it’s an absolutely beautiful courtyard, and it offers shadow puppet art performances three times a week, which we attended three times. We’re so glad we chose to stay here, and we’ll make sure to be back next time we’re in Beijing.

Very beautiful place to stay, with a lovely Hutong courtyard and a beautiful terrace. The staff there are really nice and helpful, giving all kinds of help (in English) that you need.
The location of this hotel is also perfect. It is in the center of Beijing, which is 2-3 km from the forbidden city, and a few hundred meters from the metro station that delivers you to every corner of the city. The area is also a lively neighborhood where you can easily find restaurants, shops, and shopping malls.
In general, I fully recommend this place, particularly to non-Chinese tourists.

The staff were always willing to help. Even though they didn’t speak English, they always had a translator at hand to answer any questions. Although the metro is about 15 minutes away, from there it’s easy to reach many tourist attractions, and there are other landmarks nearby. There are also shops and restaurants in the area. The buffet breakfast was quite complete, and both the rooms and the bathroom were spacious and well equipped.

Beautiful location. 5 minutes walk to the Xidan shopping malls; 15 minutes walk to National Opera House; taxis anywhere usually take you onto Chang'an Avenue. Perhaps an analogy is Columbus Cirle in NYC--except that the Financial District and the Ministries are also just minutes away. Great swimming pool. Elegant interiors. Very helpful staff. This hotel has been among my top choices in Beijing for years.

Hello, It was my first time here in Beijijng and it was fantastic and staying in this Hotel was a great part of this experience. Haley and Eddie from reception, Tom from concierge and many more staff were very keen on given me a pleasant stay. And that worked very well. No question was too much and arranging taxis or explaining me were to go was very good. Getting Ali-pay or WeChat is a must for staying in China. Only wifi can be better. Now you share an internet connection with everybody in the hotel. That should be different. But mobile wifi solved this. Hotel is near metro and that is a very good thing. Public transport is quick, clean, safe and easy. Everything is in English so we used it a lot. If I go back to Beijing I am going t stay here again for sure.
