We had a great stay at Donghu. The hotel had a lot of charm, everything was clean. We had fresh water, tea and coffe everyday. We booked the business room which was spacious enough for us to stay 5 nights. The location is close to a lot of cute shops and restaurants. The metro is about a 15 min walk. I recommend to prepare some phrases in Chinese, as most of the staff doesn’t speak English. However we never had any issues, as they were very helpful.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the former french concession, 2 min walk from Hengshan Metro station, in the middle of bars and restaurants. Set in large gardens between Hengshan Lu and Wulumuqi Lu, the hotel is quiet and the room has a wonderful balcony. Rooms are more like apartments and are well equipped. The gym is a bit small and we had no time to use the beautiful pool. Staff are very friendly and very helpful

Service staff were very helpful. Before check in, they stored our luggage then delivered it to our rooms once the room was ready. Then sent us walking guides for the neighbourhood. They were always easily contactable via wechat and answered all our questions. Location near Wukang Road, very pleasant to walk around. Many restaurants nearby. Rooms are fantastic. Very comfortable; I slept so well

This apartment provided an exceptional experience! It boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation, easily accessible by both subway and taxi. The cleanliness of the rooms is top-notch, with spotless bed linens and bathrooms, which is very reassuring. Moreover, the apartment is very close to the bustling downtown area, making it highly convenient. The owner of the apartment was very enthusiastic and helped foreigners register. Highly recommended!

Excellent location for seeing Shanghai, great views and cool breezes on the 31st floor. Cafes supermarket and restaurants downstairs and subway easy level walking gets you anywhere in the city. Great hosts were very flexible on early check in. Lovely quiet location despite it being city centre
