A wonderful family-run hotel in the mountains with a view of the Avatar Mountains .Delicious Chinese food at the local restaurant (we didn't have time to try everything on the menu in three days 😂) manager Tiffany speaks excellent English and resolves all your questions in no time! And Tiffany professionally planned itineraries to visit all the iconic locations, including purchasing all the tickets and providing transportation to the desired locations. Everything is so well-organized that all you have to do is enjoy the beauty and grandeur of the mountains. I want to come back and embrace the boundless beauty of the mountain peaks 👌Thank you Tiffany for the magnificent days 💕

Everything was great. If you want sightseeing at the park and get the best advices how make it quickly, without crowds and best cost price you are welcome this hotel and those guys. We visited two days Avatar park, Glass bridge and Yellow dragon cave with private driver for only 300 usd for 3 persons. The only bad thing is that - due to the close location to the entrance of the park there was nowhere to go out in the evening but if you need to go to some shop or else they kindly provide a free help to take you to the village. The breakfast and dinners were also tasty with reasonable price. So in a word we highly recommend that hotel for visiting the park.

Our stay at the lodge was truly exceptional. Our host, Frankie, was outstanding in every way. He was always available and on hand to help whenever we had any questions, proving himself to be incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. Frankie went above and beyond, organizing all of our transportation for our excursions at very reasonable prices. Prior to each outing, he took the time to thoroughly explain the day's route and provided us with both written and verbal guidance. This made it incredibly easy for us to navigate the national park and day trips by ourselves. The lodge itself was absolutely stunning, featuring an amazing pool and excellent food. During our stay, there was an unavoidable local funeral with some loud music, but Frankie was so kind and considerate to proactively move us to an upgraded room further away from the noise. While we were happy with our initial room, the upgraded accommodations were simply unbelievable, and we felt incredibly fortunate. We cannot thank Frankie and the entire staff at the lodge enough for making our stay so exceptional. Frankie's exceptional hosting truly elevated our experience, and we would wholeheartedly recommend staying at this lodge to anyone visiting the area.

We are really satisfied with our stay at Tongfu Inn. The hostess, Coral, was really kind and helpful, and she spoke English. She arranged for us to be picked up at the train station and driven to the hotel, and she booked the tickets for the forest park for us. This was very helpfull, since the ticket website is only in Chinese. She also arranged for our luggage to be sent to the next hotel, so we could go directly to the Grand Canyon and the glass bridge. The room was very affordable, and the beds were comfortable and big. She served really good homemade breakfast and dinner. The room was a bit cold, since we were staying there in January, but it had warm airconditioner and the hostess also provided hot water bottle for us. We would really recommend to stay at Tongfu inn when going to the forest park. You are close to the west gate entrance, which is, in our experience, less crowded than the east entrance. This makes it possible for you to enjoy the first bit of the park with less people.

This hotel, located at the west entrance of the national park, is truly a hidden gem. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they speak excellent English. You feel at home the moment you arrive! The food is absolutely delicious – we’d come back in a heartbeat.

Very nice personnel! Helpful with the tickets for the park, and great food. Even when I got bit by a monkey, the hotel helped me out with getting money back for insurance. When i was at the Red Cross they picked up straight away! Really recommend this place as it has perfect access to the park.

First of all, the location: the house is situated just inside the Zhangjiajie Forest National Park, by the West Gate. If you plan to really see the Park, this is the best place to stay for sure since it does take a good hour from Zhangjiajie City to reach. Instead of getting up super early every day, we could easily just walk outside the house and wave for the bus to stop and let us on, then we’d drive maybe 5 minutes (if at all) and arrive at the cable car station. The facilities are amazing, too. The room was beautiful and nicely renovated and it even had one of those neat automatic toilets. The house had multiple seating areas outside, like a terrace and a pool (which was closed since it was the low season), but our absolute favorite was the patio by the river. It’s so peaceful and idyllic and really lets you appreciate the natural scenery. Secondly: the food! Delicious breakfast and dinner! Most importantly: our hosts! These people are the warmest, kindest, most gracious hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Especially Nihong. Our time in Zhangjiajie would not have been the same without her. She was our tour guide for the first two full days, showing us so much of the park we would have never seen otherwise. She took time out of her day for us for three straight days just to make sure we had the best possible experience. We learned so much about Tujia culture as well, which was so interesting. Her English is so good and she was always interested in learning more, and in turn she helped us learn a few Chinese words and phrases. And her husband drove us to the Railway Station when we had a very early train to catch, which was such a big help. We could not have been more lucky with these kind people! All in all, if you’re thinking of staying here, please do! You won’t regret it. We certainly hope we can return one day! Xiexie! Wo ai ni Zhangjiajie!

The receptionist was fantastic. Provided us with a map, and showed us where to go, even offered to drop us at the west gate entrance of the park at no charge. When we checked out, he organised cars to drop us off at our next hotel in the city of Zhangjiajie at a discount. Exceptional service.
