We had a great stay at Bergsteigerbude. The location is perfect, just a few steps away from the Marktplatz. The apartment was super clean and well taken care of, with great attention to detail. We especially appreciated the big modern TV with YouTube — I could easily connect my account so my son could watch cartoons. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are very cozy, and overall it felt like a home away from home. The view over the storybook red-tiled rooftops was absolutely magical. Communication with the staff was seamless and very prompt, everything was clear and smooth. Highly recommend!

Close to DB & HSB stations, in the centre of town with plenty of shops, eateries, etc. nearby. My single room was clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. Superb breakfast served in the restaurant, with lots of fresh hot & cold options.

My family really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable, with amazing view from our window to the city and castle. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Central location. City parking right next to the hotel. Special thanks for the baby bed, although it was not supposed to be offered. I highly recommend.

Perfect location on the main square of this delightful town. Room and bath were first rate and spacious and clean. Restaurant was fabulous and had a variety dishes including some exotic ones. Staff were very kind and helpful, I would come back!

It was in perfect location in the centre of the town. An easy check in and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room were immaculate, I think this place has recently been refurbished. The breakfast was good with lots of options. If I am ever in Wernigerode in the future, I would definitely book a room in Am Nico :-)

I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The facilities were fantastic, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make my experience comfortable. My room was perfectly sized just for me — spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. The breakfast every morning was delicious, with a great variety to choose from. But what truly stood out to me was the pool — it was absolutely mind-blowing! Clean, beautifully kept, and such a relaxing space to spend time in. Honestly, everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. It was an amazing stay all around.

A great quiet location, a few minutes from the railway station and the town centre. A comfortable room and bed with a nice bathroom with a powerful shower. An excellent buffet breakfast was served from 0730 onwards. The hotel was happy to look after our bags until our train back to the airport in the afternoon.

Hotel was lovely and staff were really good. Hotel had a good atmosphere especially in the restaurant area in the evening. Would recommend eating there - the prices are food are very good so not worth going elsewhere. Some reviews moan about breakfast - it was fine, ok so not hot food but not the end of the world. There was plenty there to satisfy most tastes. Hotel in a good position right in the centre of Wernigerode and not too far from railway station. Can't praise staff highly enough, really added to the stay.
