Staying at Sota Metekhi Hotel was an amazing experience in itself! It was my first visit to Georgia, and the hotel, located in the real heart of Tbilisi Old city, next to the Kura river, made a great impact onto my first impression from the country. Wonderful location of the hotel, comfortable suits, pleasing views, unbelievable friendly stuff, traditional Georgian hospitality, tasty breakfasts, opportunity to make tours directly from the hotel with an experienced driver - for that everything me and my son are feeling deep gratitude. Very clean and comfortable room with a nice little attached private bathroom. The owner and his sweet family live there and were exceptionally nice and helpful. They made me feel absolutely at home which is much needed for a solo female traveler.
The location is absolutely great with most popular tourist attractions at a walkable distance. Very close to the metro station, making the commute to different parts of the city a breeze.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The swimming pool. the restaurant at the top floor, parking was never a problem, and the room itself was very comfortable. Very friendly staff as well. I would absolutely come back.

Archil is an amazingly kind-hearted host. He welcomed us with great care and even gave us a bottle of wine as a gift the first day. He is very helpful and reassuring if you need any facilities or help.
The property itself definitely went beyond my expectations. There are 2 floors with 2 bedrooms and both floors have their own AC. There is a beautiful terrace, a clean and warm bathroom, cozy furniture, and a complete kitchen for yourself if you want to cook some meals indoors. We stayed 8 days and to be honest never had any problems. The neighborhood is quite calm and although there are some buildings that look old and damaged, the house itself is very new. It only requires a 15-20min walk to reach the main liberty square of Tbilisi and there are some supermarkets in the 5-10 minute range (called SPAR). We also rented a car and parked it outside in front of the house and there were no problems.
P.S the view from the balcony is awesome!
