I stayed at InterContinental Crete lately and I can’t say enough good things about it. The service was excellent since the time of our arrival. The staff were very friendly, attentive to details and they did everything possible to make sure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. The rooms were absolutely awesome— spacious, elegantly furnished and equipped with all modern facilities you may need. The bed was extremely comfortable while the view from our balcony was beautiful. One highlight of our stay was the rooftop pool and bar. The pool itself had clear water and gave a breath taking panoramic view of neighboring area. It was a perfect day relax spot as the bar offered a great range of drinks or light bites as well which made it even more interesting. All in all, InterContinental Crete surpassed my expectations entirely. This hotel is a must visit due to its great services, luxurious rooms and an amazing rooftop pool alike! I look forward for my next trip!

Everything = hotel location, hotel beech, comfortable rooms including excellent beds and pillows, fantastic food choice offered for breakfast and most of all, highly friendly and admirable hotel staff.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property because it is idyllic. Very much country living, surrounded by olive trees up a hill off the Palia Ag Nikolaou-Ierapetra road and 2 km walk from the closest village and less than 1 km from the closest beach (there are three options). Each time you look out of your window, you can see the beach in the distance; you are surrounded by gardens and a pool on one side. There is parking for cars. My room had all amenities ie bathroom, kitchen, separate bedrooms, wifi, hair dryer, etc. and was super clean. What makes this place special is knowing that many people return to the same place for its tranquility but also the hospitality of the owners. Athina and Poppy are amazing; they epitomise the true meaning of Greek hospitality and make a fantastic Greek coffee. Because I don’t drive, Athina picked me up from the Agios Nicholas KTEL bus station and showed me which stop to use as the bus routes had slightly changed. For those who don’t drive, you can catch a local bus (timetable varies with season) - one stop is 400 metres from the villa and the other 2 km in the beginning of the village.

The view is stunning! It is one of the best view we have ever seen! The apartment was spotless clean, pool was nice, breakfast was excellent with daily homemade pastries. It was the perfect choice to stay in Elounda. Hope one day we will return!

This is a great hotel right on the very best spot in one of the top-3 towns in Crete. We are an American couple in our 60s traveling in Crete via rental car for a month and we booked 3 nights here and ended up staying a week. I got to know the entire staff because they were so amazing and caring - the owner, his family, manager, the wonderful breakfast chef and the amazing young lady who is a student and runs the breakfast service every morning. Anyway, they are incredibly nice and hard-working, and the hotel rooms are fantastic. This hotel is new and very nice. That makes a big difference. The views from the bar, rooftop deck and rooms facing the sea are spectacular - literally 20 feet from the water overlooking the entire harbor and views across the famous Gulf. The breakfast is amazing, and the chef turns out different vegetable dishes, pastries, omelets and salads every morning. It is rare for us to stay in the heart of old towns because we have a rental car and we usually stay at larger hotels on the edge of the old towns so we can park and drive in and out of town as a base, but here the parking is free and easy because the hotel has an agreement with the port parking lot 50 meters away. We parked there free and easy every late afternoon for a week as we returned to the hotel in our car from touring around the Lashiti mountains and the many incredible villages, mountain and coastal drives, monasteries and amazing archeological sites. It is a spectacular part of Crete and all easily accessible from this hotel as a base. In fact, the manager, who is from Agios Nikolaus and knows every inch of the Lasithi Province, gave us great touring advice on scenic drives and where to go, which is why we based there a week. To top it off, we tried 6 of the restaurants she and the owner recommended - all fantastic because Agios Nikolaus has great restaurants. The internet is very fast - about 100 Mbps and the new smart TVs have Netflix and Amazon Prime. Fantastic!

This hotel was an unexpected find - the whole package! The setting is super relaxing, with the restaurant and bar over looking the sea - the views are amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome - they weren't just professional but warm and genuine, laughing and chatting with all of the guests, which created a friendly and inviting stay for all! The food was another highlight for me. Every dish I tried was fresh and creative. Honestly, I had planned to check out a few other restaurants in the area, but the food here was so good that I ended up eating at the hotel almost every night. What makes this place even more special is that it isn't just for hotel guests. If you are nearby, you can easily walk from the beach, cross the small river and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer - from food and drinks to the pool and relaxing ambiance. There is a second area with a private pool for hotel guests only, yes, they really thought of everything! For me this hotel has brought a slightly difference touch - a new fresh feel to the usual practical serving and structured routines. Overall, its a fantastic concept. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking to relax, eat well and enjoy a peaceful spot by the sea.

We stayed at the Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort as a family of 4 (kids aged 8 and 11), and really enjoying their Premium Junior Suite with Shared Pool. The suite was brand new, with a spacious layout, luxury bathroom, and a terrace that opened directly to a serene semi-private pool, overlooking the beautiful bay Included breakfast each morning was great, freshly squeezed juices, hot/cold selections, pastries and fruits Dinner brought loads choices across the resort's restaurants, but we selected the half-board buffet: delicious, new choice each evening, and convenient with kids. Staff were incredibly attentive, and the sunset ambiance was magical.

Modern, luxurious and small scale hotel. Beautiful views, great breakfast and most of all very lovely staff! Will be back here!

Very delicious meals during breakfast and dinner. Very good location with private beach. Nice pool. Not crowded. Romantic room with beautiful view.
