Villa Sabandari is simply superb in every way. The gardens, pool, outlook and rooms are all gorgeous in their design and upkeep. We particularly appreciated how thoughtfully things had been set up - placement of loungers for a perfect mix of shade/sun, the sarongs and umbrellas in each villa, the cleanliness, mosquito nets over the bed (though we didn't need it) healthy snacks from the kitchen, comfortable outdoor furniture on each villa's terrace. Staff lit a mosquito coil (artistically hidden) outside each villa every evening to ensure we were comfortable (we were!). The afternoon teas and breakfasts were amazing. The owner and staff are lovely people. That some staff have been there many years tells you it's a well-run and respectful workplace (which matters to us). Staff and owner were always available to help us with arrangements, directions, drop-offs and pick-ups. I got sick with "Bali belly" (from food eaten elsewhere) and they made it easy for us to stay on an extra few nights, and even delivered bowls of plain rice to help me recover. Finally - and this always matters to me - the bed was incredibly comfortable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Aruna villa is the most lovely accommodation. It is perfectly located within short walking distance to the Main Street of Ubud but also so peaceful and quiet. The villa and pool are amazing - so clean and beautiful. This villa and its staff were a highlight of our stay in Ubud - couldn’t recommend it enough.
