We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Santa Maria!! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help us with our (very heavy bags), gave us complimentary espressos after our very long travel day and kept our baggage for us on the day we checked out until our flight home that night. The breakfast was AMAZING (a huge variety - eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries) and the aperitivo was lovely (lots of delicious Italian snacks and great cocktails). The rooms were simple but perfect and the showers had great water pressure. The breakfast area was quiet and beautiful and the rooftop area was perfect for enjoying aperitivo. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Trastevere, but in a quiet road so there is no noise pollution from the busy streets. We will absolutely be staying here again the next time we are in Rome. A true oasis!!

The staff is incredible, Maria will do above and beyond in recommendations (spot on) and anything else that might be needed. Federico got us a taxi 15 euros cheaper, and a discounted price for extending our stay by one night. The flexibility was incredible. Other than that, rooms are very spacious, the location is amazing, it was clean and comfortable and I could not recommend this booking more.

Rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable. Location was excellent, right in the middle of things in Trastevere. Despite that, the windows were quite soundproof. Staff very friendly.
