Everything was so great. It is a ryokan which a lot of attention and love has been put into by Satako and her husband, we felt very at home and cared for. Would absolutely recommend staying here and would come back without question! The neighborhood is also very cozy and nice to walk around. We were sad to leave today!

The staff treats guests in a very friendly and not distant manner. I particularly appreciate Abi-san for her HUGE help with my settling down in Kyoto. She is happy to provide information such as stores with good deals (extremely helpful for students). The location is ideal especially for whoever is going to study at Kyoto University. It's close to the subway, convenience store, Japan post bank, supermarket, and a telecommunication store. The whole guest house is nice and clean, with a very attractive Japanese atmosphere. I highly recommend students newly enrollment at Kyoto University to stay here for a while when finding rooms and so on. Independent tourists should also enjoy this place because of the traditional atmosphere and complete tourism guide information.
