Absolut amazing venue. We traveled in a group of 7 persons and it was the perfect accommodation for us. Modern, but in Japanese style. Great location in Arashiyama. Very relaxing after a day of sightseeing in Kyoto. Staff was very friendly and flexible. It was very easy to arrange the meeting time for check-in.

This is a traditional and beautiful hotel. We were upgraded to a larger room with an outdoor tub on our 2nd night which was exceptionally nice. The staff were wonderful and the onsen was fantastic. We had dinner in the bar on the first night which was very zen and i loved going to dinner in my yukata after the onsen.

The hosts of the hostel were very kind people! :) They were very knowledgable about the area and were able to give advice in multiple languages. We stayed in one of their beautiful Japanese style rooms and the hostel was very clean and well thought out.

Attractively set in the Nishikyo Ward district of Kyoto, Riverside Arashiyama is set 3.5 km from Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple, 4.7 km from Katsura Imperial Villa and 7.9 km from Nijo Castle.

We were very satisfied here. The hotel has an excellent location. You can visit many interesting places by foot. I was accommodated at the place with a friend in a wheelchair and the staff was very accommodating to us. I would especially like to thank Mr. Yamada, who personally helped us to solve the wheelchair defect. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was large, very clean, and all the necessary amenities were available. They even gave us a choice of rooms when we arriveed. The owner is extremely kind and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. She made it feel like home. When we left it was raining and they even gave us an umbrella to use, in fact they wanted to give us two. If we're ever in Kyoto again we will definitely stay here again, it was the best place we have stayed in on our trip.

A very nice place with japanese style rooms, you can find arashiyama station few walks away and arashiyama forest on the other side. Also the area is usually quiet. There is a river nearby and has beautiful view . I like the hospitality of the owner. She cooked dinner and breakfast for us for free. And took us for nearby places for shopping. She also helped us plan our route through different places in Japan. Much recommended. Try it out!!

Beautiful structure a few steps from everything and well connected by public transport. Very clean room, very comfortable Futons. I relaxed a lot, it was a beautiful experience that I absolutely recommend doing in this Ryokan. The staff welcomed us in a wonderful way, very kind and helpful. I appreciated everything. A wonderful place for those looking for the real Japan. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff for the beautiful memory.
