Modern, clean, comfortable beds, spacious for a family. A very short walk from train station, using the foot bridge that goes from the station and over the railway tracks. We found it easy with our big suitcases.Has an auto-fill bathtub, and auto-reheats the bath water too. 3 comfortable double beds in one room, plus a tatami room. Toilet upstairs and downstairs. Kitchen has everything you need to make meals, incl fridge, microwave, rice cooker and kettle. Laundry liquid supplied for washing machine. Lawsons store nearby for groceries. Instructions provided in English in the house manual for operating the washing machine and hot water and appliances. A wonderful stay and we would highly recommend this if you want to be near Edo Wonderland (4km away) (there is a local bus, shuttle bus and taxi) and the suspension bridge walk to the lookout (12min walk). Easy to get a train to Nikko to see the shrines and abyss - highly recommend to book in advance the free volunteer guide Yumiko to show you around Nikko.

We enjoyed our stay at Kanaya Hotel Kinugawa. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are all very friendly and helpful and tried their best to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. We would like to especially thank Emi from the Teppanyaki restaurant for going out of her way to prepare for us the transportation information to get to Chuzenji Lake, our destination the next day. Also, thank you to Fuchigami san who made us feel very welcome and picked us up & dropped us off at the train station (although it was a short distance from the hotel).

The room is a Tatami style Japanese room, it is quite spacious and clean, the in-house bath is very nice and clean, there is plenty of selection of hair shampoo and cleaning supplements provided and in very good quality, so is the public onsen spa.
We had both our dinner and breakfast included in form of buffer, the dinner is a particularly grand feast with unlimited crab legs, beef and oyster rice bot provided, there is also free shuttle bus that the reception can arrange.

Both the dinner and the breakfast buffet were excellent, with a large variety of dishes being served, and always getting refilled. Smiling staff clearing away empty plates, and letting everyone know when the kitchen will be closing so that you don't miss anything.
Multiple onsens on site, with both indoor and outdoor baths available. Everything was very clean.
Staff went above and beyond when the wife forgot her phone charger in the room. Mailing it on to our next hotel in Osaka for us, we can't thank you enough.
