Hard to beat the price for the quality of stay. Food and service was amazing, onsen in balcony was great too. Only downside is no indoor connection between main and annex building, a bit cold to walk in between them from the 3rd floor

It was very nice. Rooms were extremely spacious. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Onsen in the adjacent hotel is excellent and worth visiting, for a small fee.

1 or 2 min walk to the closest train station and historical temple. Very convenient to Kyoto access. Owner had tea ceremony which was very informative and wonderful experience to learn about Japanese culture.

Thanks to Rieko for her kindness and for making our stay truly unforgettable. This place is a hidden gem in the countryside near Kyoto.
If you’re looking to escape the crowds of the city and spend a few relaxing days surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Just about 1.5 hours from Kyoto and close to beautiful temples, you can enjoy peaceful walks through rice fields and really take in the charm of rural Japan.
We arrived a bit early, but Rieko was so helpful and immediately assisted us with our luggage. The house itself was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet—exactly what we needed. Within walking distance, you’ll also find authentic Japanese restaurants and a lovely farmers’ market with great local products.
It was absolutely worth the price, and we only wish we had stayed longer!
